Before coaching at SGA, I was the Head Coach of the NC State University Collegiate Gymnastics team from 1980 to 2017. After I retired from being a collegiate head coach, I decided to help other gymnastics clubs around North Carolina working with gymnasts to help them accomplish their goals in the sport. I have worked with gymnasts who have gone on to competing gymnastics at the college level.

One of the gymnasts I worked with was named “Rookie of the Year”, “All-SEC”, and “SEC ALL-Freshman” at the University of Kentucky her freshman year. I have also worked to help multiple gymnasts qualify for Level 9 Eastern Championship, who have all finished in top 6 in their age division, and level 10 gymnast who finished in top 5 at the National championship in 2019.
