Originally I am from Canton Ohio. After high school I joined the Marine Corps and spent 11 years active duty. During that time I attended the University of South Carolina. Upon graduation I attended Officer Candidate School for the U.S. Army. I spent the next 10 years as an Army officer and after a total of 21 years I retired as a Captain. After I retired I moved to Rock Hill SC where I owned and operated my first gymnastics company. Over the next 18 years the company would grow to be the largest gymnastics company in South Carolina. We had two locations, one in Rock Hill, SC and a second location in Myrtle Beach, SC. We expanded the company to include a gymnastics equipment and scoring company, an afterschool company, a competitive volleyball company, and a meet hosting company. Over those years we hosted two large invitationals and countless state and regionals championships.

I also served as the Assistant state chair for gymnastics in South Carolina. In 2017 I retired from the gymnastics business and moved full time to Myrtle Beach, SC where I stayed for over two years before moving to Cary, NC and operating SGA. I have one son, Ethan, who is a computer engineer and lives in Charlotte, NC. I also have two dogs, Chewy and Chauncey.
